i bought this for myself even tho im old enuf to know better, we all still have the child in us somewhere, i turn it on every nite while reading my book before sleep, its quite quirky and....when i fall asleep......it even turns itself off

It's not often you get exactly what is described but in this case it's true. A soft plush base to the ladybird with hard shell. Comes with batteries so works straight out of the box. My daughter absolutely loves it. The blue and Green lights can be used on the floor in a room with ceiling about 2.5mtrs high. The Red light is a more diffused light so probably needs to be closer but is still good. Would recommend to any parent with young children.

We picked the Twilight Turtle up not long after our daughter was born. She's now 28 months old and still loves it. Without fail she asks for, "stars" every night when she goes to bed.
We've given it as a gift to several friends and they all love it. Highly recommended!
Simple and effective July 15, 2010

I was in two minds about purchasing the turtle as I wanted more functionality from it like the lights to fade between the colours. Anyway seeing it discounted persuaded me to buy it and we've never looked back.
My two month old seemed to be able to fix on the stars and as he's got older it made the transition from Mummy and Daddy's room to his own more familiar.
He doesn't care that the colours don't fade so I've learnt my lesson.
